Default Iron Man - Review Thread

It was fun and exciting and pure popcorn. The origin story was good enough and the smart enough to incorporate pseudo-science and current tech. It would've been a bit better if it had dug emotionally deeper but that's probably not what the comic was.

Acting wise, it was credible through and through. Downer Jr is great as Stark and a perfect choice. Paltrow is fun as the smart Potts and Bridges is insidious as Stane. Howard almost didn't have much to do. Clarke Gregg is a great casting choice.

The VFX was great for the most part; the animation of Mark II and the action sequences was pretty amazing to watch. Sound design was fantastic during the opening sequence but later on got toned down due I believe to PG-13 guidelines. The film didn't have a lot of cinematic shots.

The film does have a lot of replayability factor so it'll be a great addition to BD later in the year. Remember, if you've seen the movie and want to discuss plot details, use the [ spoiler] tags. I'll contribute one below.

[Show spoiler]Sam Jackson looks badass as Nick Fury.
