Default The reason I bought a PS3 rather than a standalone player

This seems weird to be talking abot this know since I have had my PS3 6 months now.

I don't know why I am openig this thead because no one at Toshiba nor any one who is a HD DVDder will read this.

Reason

#1. The excellent reviews the PS3 was getting and it was one of the few Blu Ray Players at the time to a HDMI 1.3 port

#2. At that time and actually even today the pricepoint is unbeatable.

#3 It also allows you to play PS3/PS2/PS1 Games

I bought mine because I wanted to play Heavenly Sword. I didn't care what it did as long as it played games. Then I got into blu because Amazon had all these stupid bogos.
