Since I read spanish I can translate. What it says is that Warner will only use Blu-Ray in they're marketing campaigns from now on.

warner have the rights to that on in europe.

So this is further evidence that warner are dropping bluray and going hddvd exclusive later in the year, excellent.

Warner has distribution rights in other parts of the world. From what I have read elsewhere, Warner is not going to even release this on HD DVD. Apparently they aren't going to bother to do it with I Am Legend also. I guess some would figure why do they have to since the HD DVD is region free so people can import the Paramount version. I guess the same would be true for I Am Legend.

Full translation:

Warner already focusing its marketing on Blu-ray

The studio thus leaves HD DVD aside. The proof is in the promotion poster for the release of Beowulf: only the Blu-ray case is picture and at the bottom one can read: "on DVD and Blu-ray" (with their respective logos). "HD DVD" is nowhere to be seen.

Shhh... Don't tell Paramount and Universal, just pretend they don't exist until they apologize and ask to release on Blu-Ray again.

Of course Crazy Ken at Universal will likely move to a Japanese island and refuse to admit that the war is actually over. Ever.

Lay off HD DVD, they are just as good as BR, if you don't believe me go buy yourself a HD DVD Player and look, stop reading what people say and take it for the word of the almighty!!
Take a gander through Google, let us know when the last time was that Warner made a big announcement like that and then turned around and changed their minds?

Warner has been telling people for awhile now what they were going to be doing.

HD-DVD didn't perform, I know it's hard to believe but it's true, if HD-DVD wanted Warner on their side they simply should have sold more, oh wait, with all the firesales they had they thought they DID sell more.

I'd ask for a refund on your HD-DVD stuff if you can.

Doesnt most marketing say something along the lines of

"Own it on XXX XX on DVD or Bluray Disc"
"Available on XX on DVD or Bluray Disc"

etc. The majority of advertisement I see for any/all movies is during the weeks leading up to the release week (emphasizing the release day) and maybe 1-2 weeks after the release day. Since Warner will no longer release HDDVDs until 3 weeks after the blu version, they cant include it in these advertisements.

That 25K petition is a joke and good reflection of the mentality of the deluded DUD fanbase.
