Default Turn PSP into a Personal GPS Navigation System with Go! Explore

Not sure there's any point in me copying all this here:

http://www.scee.presscentre.com/Cont...7&NewsAreaID=2

If anyone's interested, hopefully SCEA have plans for the GPS attachment.

I saw an article at Gamespot.com. Evidently Sony confirmed this week that the PSP GPS will be coming to North America in 2008. Very exciting, as my Garmin recently stopped working.

I would snag one of these instantly. I love the multi-purpose stuff like the PS3 etc...and this would just add something extra cool to make me buy a PSP. I have a GPS in my car, but would love one to take with on air trips etc...plus all the other fun stuff the PSP can do.

My wife wants a GPS device, she doesn't go anywhere without a map and always rents the GPS thing when we get retal cars.

Maybe this way,.. I could get a PSP out of the deal.

Awesome!

Just bought a TomTom 720, but I would probably buy this in a heartbeat.

Will this require a new PSP? Or do existing PSPs work with this?
This is just awesome though. I was looking into a GPS system myself, and a PSP, and if i can get a PSP that IS a GPS... well... I think its as good as sold.

Keep us posted on this!

Here's hoping that we get the GPS in North America soon...I've been waiting for this ever since it was announced for Japan.

The GPS hardware looks to be the same as what's already available in Japan and compatible with both PSP models.

Ya know I'm really tempted to import a GPS unit and use MapThis!

I'm so tired of waiting for this....
