They both have great picture & sound quality and they're both good movies. The real question is, which do you prefer: NASCAR or cuisine?

No but seriously, either one is worth buying. If you had to pick one, I would go with Ratatouille, because it came out later. But if you have the money, I would seriously consider getting both.

These releases are two of the best transfers Blu-ray has to offer, nothing you have seen on DVD compares.

It depends on tastes. Cars is a great movie for the kids or just having fun, if you want something for more adult tastes go with Ratatouille, it is smart-funny, and a bit more sophisticated. Considering the nature of your fourth pick I am inclined to encourage Ratatouille. Also, remember that Pirates of The Caribbean is a Disney Film. Out of curiosity what are Blu-rays 1-3?

For the record I own both Cars & Ratatouille.

Edit: Also based on what you think will be your sixth pick... "Kingdom of Heaven" I again would say Ratatouille.

I preferred the RAT.

Cars was boring at many points in the movie.

300, Troy, Alexander, Kingdom of Heaven. Is it just me or are we seeing a trend? I am just assuming that Talladega Nights is an outlier.

Ratatouille is the better movie, at least if you are over the age of 10 and especially 20, 30, or any other consecutive decade.

Cars is the first Pixar movie that I felt aimed more for the young kids starting with the designs of the cars themselves. It was a weak outting by them, but a weak Pixar movie is far better than most films out there.

Either will impress on Blu. Just wait for the next bogo and get the one you don't buy now.

I think Pirates and 3:10 are the best live action, if that is what you're looking for....
