Very interesting. What films do Lionsgate own/have access to though? Hopefully this isn't just rereleases of the lousy 5-9 films. Lionsgate has down some good work in the past, hopefully this has gotten the attention it deserves if it turns out to be true.

I got excited until I saw the studio doing it. A collection implies everything in a series - what does Lionsgate own, the last 3 films? lol

Image has the first two (or did) so unless Lionsgate was able to get a deal with them, it could just be the former Echo Bridge titles.

What makes me sceptical about this release is that Halloween Collection is also being listed for Oct. 7, and Lions Gate is cited as a distributor too. We all know that ain't true.

I imagine this will be for the Miramax titles. 3-8 I believe.

Just to get 3 is a huge win! I'll happily sit it between Anchor Bay and Image's blus of 1 and 2, and the blu ray of part 9!

Wow, if this is true, then I think the only franchises left without a complete collection are Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Children of the Corn.

Oh my word, you own part 9? I picked it up for $2 at Big Lots and actually threw it away after I watched it. Losing those two bucks was worth not having to devote shelf space to that disc.

It would be so rad if LG got the rights for the first two (from Image, for this set), along with the rest of the Miramax sequels.

I've only seen the first 4. The rest are on Netflix so I may get around to watching those eventually.

If the mess that is the rights for the Halloween series can somehow result in a box-set, I hope that we can get a proper Hellraiser collection.

Although I'd really only be buying it for 1-4. I remember two of the other sequels containing some interesting ideas (even if they were executed pretty poorly), and the rest being utter crap.

I liked part 5, even though it was originally written as a different movie and just reworked to include Pinhead. The same thing happened with parts 6 - 8 as well. Part 9, as bad as it is, is the first sequel written as a Hellraiser sequel since part 4.

Inferno is quite good and Hellseeker is a decent watch (Ashley Laurence is only in it for about five minutes, though, and claims she was only paid enough to buy a new refrigerator), but the rest? Your suffering will be legendary.
