I imagine this will be for the Miramax titles. 3-8 I believe.

Just to get 3 is a huge win! I'll happily sit it between Anchor Bay and Image's blus of 1 and 2, and the blu ray of part 9!

Wow, if this is true, then I think the only franchises left without a complete collection are Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Children of the Corn.

I have the first two so all I really want is the third film. After that the franchise took a huge downward spiral.

It's probably a reissue of this collection:

lol

I assume EB's rights have lapsed.

At a $14.99 price I'm sure this will be the same as the old releases.

But then again the Mimic collection LG released was good and is under $20.

Same here. This series really fell apart after 3. Still, if the collection is reasonably priced, I might bite, just as I did for Leprechaun.

Hope they at least have a decent transfer of Hellraiser 3: Hell On Earth & include both the R-Rated & Unrated Cuts of the movie. That's the only one that has never been released on bluray yet.

In regards to the series generally, absolutely yes for the first two as they're two halves of the same story, really. They're also obviously very English (a plus point for me), regardless of the dubbing and the like. The third? Fairly disposable but gory and fun; I used to own the Anchor Bay DVD set and whilst the third didn't really have much in common with the first two (aside from the Ashley Laurence cameo, and Doug), having just the first three included was all that was needed.

I prefer the premise/story of the first film (and thus The Hellbound Heart), but find the second the better watch. I know that's not shared by the majority, though. I've no idea how much more awesome the movie would have been had it managed to keep the larger budget; I always thought it looked pretty good and showed the money on screen, at least with the more disturbing effects.

Of course, my preference also has a little to do with Clare Higgins looking even more lovely the second time around.

Do you know, by any chance, if they'll be releasing the sequels that weren't released on blu-ray by Echo Bridge or just the ones that were.

I assume they'll be doing Hellraiser 3 because they're the digital distributor and have HD versions on Netflix and other services I believe. I'm just worried about Children of the Corn 2 / 7 being included in that set.

I certainly hope so... One positive thing about these listings/announcements... We shouldn't have to wait long to get the full specs on the release. I'll be double dipping for sure if the sets include Hellraiser III and Children of the corn 2/7

Now that it has been established that this is just the same crap repackaged, can someone please merge this with another thread? Or, at the very least, change the title of the thread to something like "Lionsgate Proves To Still Be Useless"?

Of course he knows, lol. But he will never give you a straight answer. In some cases their (SF's) "No" means "Yes".
