Blu-ray Guru

![]() ![]() Been looking forward to this for awhile now as it deals with subject matter that for some reason has always fascinated me. Has some great atmosphere and some genuinely creepy moments, but unfortunately the bad far outweighed the good. I don’t mind a film leaving me with some unanswered questions. Sometimes it’s all about the journey and not the destination, but this film felt like sex without the climax. Sure, I had a great time, but ultimately, what was the point? All these filmmakers basically did was take inspiration from the Max Headroom broadcast signal hijacking that took place in Chicago back in 1987, substituted that video with a blatant plagiarism of the infamous “I Feel Fantastic” video and wrapped a half assed story around it and when it came time to end the story basically said, “Ah, **** it. Endings are overrated.” I didn’t check the credits, but I really hope they at least gave the original creator of the “I Feel Fantastic” video a writing credit, because it’s the most obvious theft of an artistic property I’ve ever seen. |
