Default Revolver Blu reviews ?

Anyone seen the 2005 Jason Statham flick, Revolver ? Seems like a good cast, great director. Any insight/reviews? Cheers,

Great movie, I really liked it. But, don't watch the US version it's garbage compared to the UK version. Haven't seen it on Blu yet.

i also got the uk version. it isn't your usual jason statham movie. it makes you think and is a little off, kehe... but not a bad movie. again, just not what you'd expect from statham.

I rented this when it first came out and I have to say, it wasn't very good...at all.

I would have expected something far better from Guy Ritchie and Luc Besson, and it wasn't nearly of the same calibur as Lock Stock, Snatch, or even Rock-n-Rolla.

Big disappointment. I recommend a rental.

So, I wonder if the blu ray is the US version of the UK version of the story ?

I agree. This movie was no Lock/Stock nor Snatch. It had some cool cinematic moments, too much of a head fcuk. I also don't think Andre 3000 held snuff. I bought used DVD b/c same price as renting. DVD looks good through 1080p convert but I would rather spend my money on a different blu instead of this one on blu.

Different ending. The US version ends after the elevator sequence and has some brief comments from some "people". The UK ending continues on after that sequence and has a ending that is up for interpretation in a lot of ways, hence the wide division in opinion on the film.

How many versions are there of this movie ? Three ? The original cut, the US cut and the Director's Cut ?

I got the Swedish Blu-Ray, which is labeled 'Director's Cut'. It runs 106 minutes. I also have the Japanese Blu-Ray, which runs 115 minutes.

The US Blu-Ray by Sony is said to have a running-time of 104 minutes. Now, do anyone know if this is the same as the so-called Director's Cut ? or is this a different cut made for US audience after the movie tanked at the boxoffice in Europe.. ?

I think the US Cut and "Directors Cut" are the same thing. The only cut that's actually somewhat decent is the original release cut.
