Half-assed report from skimming, *shrug*

I wonder though who reads Toms for anything besides the tech articles?

Wow. I couldn't even stand it. Complete and utter trash. Half truth's, ommisions and lies. When I read that both formats were gaining traction I stopped.

I used to read it for the tech stuff, but they have been behind the powerball for about a year now, since they started to spread into several sectors besides the PC it has gone down hill in my view. My favorite one now is Anandtech.

Yet again, it's a hardware guy that knows nothing about the non-computer CE buisness, or home video

I perfer hexus myself, but all the sites have begun to shift quite a bit to ATi fandom for my tastes.

Something that frustrated me to no end the past year, as ATI failed to compete and as such Nvidia wasn't pushed to refresh the 8800 gtx...

Venturer, RCA models are rebadged Toshiba units. Samsung cancelled their latest dual format player IIRC and LG has yet to announce any new dual format models.

His charts are so out of whack, it's like comparing major league teams to minor league teams + Toshiba.

I stopped reading Tom's maybe 4 years ago because of crap like this. I can't believe it's actually gotten worse.

Pioneer is "mysteriously" absent from that list as well. And yes, there is no mention of all the other players being rebadged Toshibas. Worthless article.

Facts are pesky things. When you can't refute them and they aren't to your advantage? Simply ignore them and throw them out. That's been the HD-DVD disciple way since day one. Nothing new here.
