I was kind of wondering about this too. I haven't seen the movie yet... I know the reviews are pretty rough.

When FOX releases a BD it is day and date, but they don't release all of their movies on BD...yet.

I have just rented this from Netflix and had to turn it off half way through because it was so bad.

This opinion comes from someone who is a fan of the "Airplane" and "Naked Gun" films.

I highly recommend you rent before buying. The chances are very great that you will regret a purchase.

I believe this movie and many like it required a large intake of cannabis beforehand...
