Whenever I watch a scripted movie about the making of another movie, I find myself just wanting to watch the movie itself. Documentaries are usually fun, though.

I always see stories shared on social media about these women in Germany who would seduce Nazis, bring them out into the woods, and then execute them. Feel like that would make a hella cool movie.

William Leslie Arnold. Arrested at 16 for killing his parents. Escaped jail with another prisoner even though he was one of the most well-behaved prisoners. Other prisoner was caught and has since been released. Everybody that knew Arnold says they hope he's doing well, and even a minister he knew helped him escape. Recently an immigration document was found that suggests Arnold is in Brazil, there's also some other evidence for that. Crazy story.

Before he was murdered, it is said that of several projects that the late Pier Paolo Pasolini was considering, that he was considering a film about Gilles de Rais. That certainly would have been one helluva follow-up to Pasolini's "Salo". Read up on the guy, Gilles de Rais... good grief....

Moreover, Walerian Borowczyk also met with Udo Kier in the late 70s to discuss a project about it. (It never happened, either).

That might be an interesting film, but obviously would have to be more implicit than explicit.

ASSAULT ON THE LIBERTY is a great sea story that nobody will touch because of the political hot potato of it being about a deliberate Israeli attack on US spy ship in international waters. Ship was napalmed and torpedoed, with its life rafts machine-gunned in the water, and it is a miracle the thing stayed afloat.

The formation of ILM for SW is a great subject for a little feature; I should know, I've already written it, derived from old articles I did.

You know what, I wouldn't mind seeing an Operation Golden Pheasant movie. Operation Golden Pheasant was basically about two countries joining forces in order to stop Contra during the Cold War. True story, but an event rarely talked about.
