To sell or not to sell? - Blu-ray Forum

I'm getting my PS3 tomorrow from EBGames. I'm going to try and get another one from target or walmart. If I don't, I'm torn between keeping or selling it. I was looking forward to Sonic, and now that was delayed. I'm honestly not excited about any of the launch titles.

Regardless-- How soon can I expect to see more PS3's shipped to retailers? 2 weeks? a month? 2 months? Regardless of what I decide to do, I will want to try and get another one to do what I didn't do with the other one. Will it be harder to get one then or easier? Will they still sell for a high price then?

I wish this ebay situation didn't exist, because I would normally never think of selling my PS3.. but by not doing that, I'm consciously giving up on supposedly over $1000 profit.

Any thoughts?

Yeah, haha.. The one thing I was concerned about this time though was people's thoughts on the second shipments of PS3's. Whether they will be easy or harder to get, and if the prices will still be that high on ebay. If I can't get an extra one this time, I can try when the second shipment comes in. I hadn't thought about that last time.

This is the gamble: If Sony is true to their word, and this time they know they can't @#%^ around with this too much...they will be shipping in more units as soon as next week.

The question is: How many and to whom?

They're supposed to
(key phrase) close that gap pretty fast.

I think nothing has changed since we had that last thread: When you bring the PS3 home, don't open it, and watch that market.

You'll certainly have that whole weekend, at minimum, to gauge the market and make a choice.

according to a thread, one just sold for 3k+. at that, i'd sell and wait for the next shipment (or next available time)

For those of use with morals yes you are right but I say, "SELL, SELL, SELL!!!". If some poor smuck wants to pay $1600 for a PS3 then let him. If you can't wait a month or 2 you deserve to pay the price. Sorry I am pratical when it comes to this part. $1000 profit take it run.

i just checked ebay and they are easy going for over $2500 but the sellers with higher feedback are going higher i saw one going for $4700!! wow
just wait a few more weeks and another shipment is coming lol
