The theatrical cut is 92 min. The Director's cut is 76 seconds longer, 93 min. If it states a 93 min BD, then it's most likely the awful director's cut.

The theatrical cut has got to be released on BD at some point. the TC is even on Netflix in a fine HD transfer.

Really hope this BD is the TC.

That's right, I think it's only a matter of time when the theatrical cut is available.

Mediabook cover A all the way!

Baffles me that the theatrical cut still hasn't been released on BD, especially when it's available via streaming. Weren't there rumours a while back that Paramount were gonna release a collector's edition?

Yes, it is. There's plenty of ways to watch it in HD, if you REALLY wanted it. I guess not?

Stop being such an obnoxious know-it-all. I'm well aware that it's available in HD, hence why I said in my initial post that it was streaming. Point is, this is blu-ray.com and it'd be nice to have a physical release of the theatrical cut in HD. Obviously Netflix and Prime will do until then, but it's not an ideal situation.

The back cover doesn't state whether this is the theatrical cut or the director's cut.
If you take a closer look at the running times on the back covers, you will see the Blu-Ray is 93 minutes and the DVD is 89 minutes. The Blu-Ray is the Director's Cut. HOWEVER, since it's a European release, the DVD is PAL format, meaning the film has been sped up by 4% for PAL standards. Also, looking at the running time on the UK Theatrical DVD (89 minutes) and the UK Director's Cut DVD (90 minutes), you already see the writing on the wall. CONCLUSION/CONFIRMATION: The 84 Entertainment Mediabook will NOT include the Theatrical Cut on Blu-Ray. This set is just another paperweight.
I also wanna note that the person who wrote the Mediabook (Christoph N. Kellerbach) stated on Facebook that this set would include the Theatrical Cut, but did not specify if it were on the Blu-Ray, the DVD, or both. When other people reached out to him for a more definitive answer, he didn't respond. My wild guess is someone with higher authority at 84 saw the comment and is probably giving him an earful and then some.
Guess I'll stick with my HD UV copy for now. Better than nothing.

Anyone know how the English DTS-HD MA 5.1 on this one compares to the Dolby Digital 5.1 track released everywhere else?

Here's a comparison now
https://caps-a-holic.com/c_list.php?c=4636
It looks slightly different / different framing on some shots than the Paramount. Also it's about 1 Minute shorter.

So it does look indeed like the theatrical cut. Anybody can confirm that?
Might actually order then...

Hopefully someone here took the chance for all of us

I would look to order if it does come with the theatrical version on blu ray

The '84 mediabooks DO feature the theatrical cut.
I can confirm that as I own one of them myself, received my copy earlier this week. Just finished watching it and there were NO comic strip panel style scene transitions in sight whatsoever, no ancient Roman battle referring comic strip intro and in the end they do keep walking further instead of a comic strip freeze frame.

Thanks for confirming. Was hoping this was the case when I noticed the runtimes we're different on the specs posted on capsaholic.

Can you confirm if that is the DVD disc or the Blu-Ray disc? Cause other people are reporting the TC is DVD only.
