Default Bluray Packaging Question

Hello all,
Just wandering if theres like a site that states how a specific bluray release will be packaged. For example i'm keen to buy the godfather trilogy but don't wanna buy if all the disc's are in one big fat disgusting box, god i hate those.
Thanks..

Amazon has some pics up for the Godfather Collection

Looks like it is just one BD case, like Blade Runner. Has a slip case though

I'm one of the few here who find slipcases to be a real waste of money (the manufacturer's money). If they didn't do it, perhaps they can knock a nickel off the price of BDs!

100% agreed. I throw away all slipcovers, even the ones that make the case look stupid without it (like the Iron Man one). =(

I personally do not like the slipsleeves on my movies. The Godfather is the exact same design as on the cover and backing, and I really do not like my Natural Born Killers book. I bought it online without paying much attention to the picture only to find the design is a freakin book, haha. Than I noticed its the same design for JFK and Poltergeist, why aren't these just available in regular cases, the books are looked at maybe what one time? The only sleeve i left on was Transformers for the same reason as everyone else it just looks like a bootlegg with out it.

I seem to be in the minority that I actually like slipcovers. It doesn't bother me at all, although when the front and back of the slipcover looks IDENTICAL to the actual case it doesn't seem to make much sense, but hey...doesn't bother me, and I'd never throw them out.

I RECYCLE all of the slip covers from the movies I add to my collection. Waste of natural resources and just more garbage to end up in a landfill someday.

I agree wiht most of you on here. I just recently bougth Ironman and Transformers about a week ago. And I too find those stupid slip coers down rihgt stupid. I will typically thorw them away. However I find my self in a difficult spot being that the slip is dif different then the reg case. In which I tend to keep it own becasue like most people I think it's stupiud wiht out it then. Now if the slip is the smae as the reg package, then it's diff out the door and in wiht the garbage. like what was said earlier, they could take the price down a nickel or two if they wouldn't produce those stupid things. (just a thought-why in Gods names would they make slip covers anyway. waist of time and money iof you ask me.)

The Hairspray slipcover is the most surprising one for me. I was at Best Buy recently and noticed that the new versions don't have it. The case looks weird without the slip cover.

The Godfather case is a bit different than Planet Earth or Damages or Grey's Anatomy.

There are 2 cheap spindles inside, each one holding 2 discs. They should not make cases where the hub is identical to single disc Sony ones. BDs coating makes it sooo easy for them to get loose & fall out, unlike say Prison Break or Die Hard cases where the hubs inside are thick & the discs are more secure.

Didn't think the Omen would be that bad until I got it yesterday. Those hubs are meant for 1 viewing. Anything else & thats extreme wear & tear.

I don't mid slip covers one bit, but I did have to throw away a couple because they were plastered with a bunch of ad stickers when once removed left a sticky mess.

What a disappointment, I really like them having a box and inside the individual boxes. Like Rambo and Resident Evil did.

Oh yeah because they raise the price $5 more for a slipcase right? Lol, they are useless and its not like we're throwing away scenes from the movie, just the plastic wrap that seals it inside.

I keep the slipcases because it prevents the actual case from getting scratched. Wear and tear prevention.

my wife's design firm makes more money to setup a slip case for each blu-ray, throw them away if you'd like, but slipcases are here to stay.
