The old one was barely passable - IIRC it was taken from a DVD era scan? Lots of room for improvement.

I saw this in the movies when it came out. I was 11.I'll be getting this. I assume the slipcover will be the poster art. I usually go for that with these Scream Factory 4Ks but if i like the steelbook art, I could go for that. I really need to see it before I decide which release to get.

I have a large HD DVD collection from the format wars days and the firesales that came after (which looking back were still too much - $15 each when Blus were $30). Seems like all of these are getting the 4K treatment lately. Wonder if I'll keep the collection on hand or eventually get rid of it, since the UHDs will look significantly better and the HDs are being more a curio like having 8 tracks or CEDs.

I hope this means it’s finally getting a brand new transfer and not the same ancient master with added hdr enhancements. It almost seems too good to be true.

I got a lot of stuff off Amazon for $10 during their firesales and forums at the time $5 per movie in most cases. I bought all the Harry Potter films for $30 and never watched them and then they were all rotted when I decided to finally play them all.
