Default I Surrender Blu-ray has won

i was a nutrual fan of all highdef movies but tend to favour hd-dvd because of the cheapness and region free of the discs living in the uk this is handy, but im now finding in shops that blu-ray titles are cheaper the hardware might be more expencive but its a price that has to be paid to watch almost every movie studio release, i also am finding it hard to find movies to buy in hd-dvd apart from matrix, transformers, bourne movies and heroes there isnt that much out there now and i find myself always buying great new movies on blu-ray each week, with all theretails dropping hd-dvd like flys and terrible sales on hardware and discs i have got out while i can, i know i will get alot of you laughing at mbut i am 100% behind the blu revolution and i wont look back.... sorry for the dought

welcome to blu. you'll find that almost 70% of all BDs are region free.
why I am laughing? no need to laugh at BD supporter despite their former stance.

though I was a neutral buyer, I always 100% supporting blu, and wished for HD DVD's demise.
The latest attach rate for me is 60+ BD:3 HD DVD

Welcome

Hopefully Universal and Paramount will come to their senses soon and put HD DVD out of its misery. Universal either has to get Crazy Ken to either resign from the HD DVD presidency or have him resign from Universal.

I got a PS3 in early January. Loved Blu Ray from the start. Pirates are my 3 all time favorite movies hands down. But I wanted Bourne Ultimatum and Transformers so bad. 2 weeks ago I bought an A30 for 170.00 and 9 free dvds (got transformers, shrek 3, bourne identity, bourne ultimatum, 300, Italian job, Hulk, Charlie and the Chocolate factory, Batman begins) I couldnt pass up the deal because the movies are still 1080p so they are the same as Blu ray just a differant machine. Now when HD goes belly up believe me, ill be the first one to toss the HD DVD player in the trash after all of the movies I got come out in Blu

yes welcome...but i hope the region free was one of the cause of fall for studio support. BAD idea... HD-DVD tried to use it at the beginning to gain consumers...but some studio didn't like it. Do you wonder why we have region code today in DVD?

movie is movie..doesn't matter if it comes in red or blue.

All we need are region free blu players! Guess they will come in time though, just like DVD ones did.
