The new Astron-6 (filmmakers behind Manborg and Troma-produced Father's Day) film, giallo homage and probable satire The Editor, will be getting distributed by Shout! Factory imprint Scream Factory.

They've picked it up for broadcast, digital, home video, and even theatrical distribution. I think it's safe to say a Blu-ray release date will be announced before long, so if anyone says this belongs in the wishlist forum, so help me God...

Cool. The only Astron-6 film I've seen so far is Manborg, and I'll gladly see more of their stuff, especially if it's coming to Blu-Ray.

Father's Day is absolutely a must-see if you like absurd and nasty humor coupled with dad-rape and lots of gore. Astron-6 are like an extreme gore version of Monty Python in my eyes.

I have no doubts they'll deliver. I haven't watched all of the 2-DVD short films collection yet, but the shorts I have seen have all split my sides. Those guys are talented and terribly bizarre.

Father's Day is a an underrated and very funny exploitation/B-movie. If has to be seen just for its audacity.

Needless to say I'll be seeing this.

Looks like it'll be a reversible cover with the poster from the first post, but I was hoping the reverse side would be this:



The one with the moviola and intestines is cool, though. Coupled with the tagline, it has a bit of '80s VHS flair.

EDIT: Shout also has their preorder page up, and it's priced at $21.97 with a double-sided poster offer.

The 2 DVD shorts collection is really good too. And Fathers Day. Manborg, and the BioCop trailer are my favorites. If there's anything else of theirs I haven't seen, I want to know about it.
I almost missed this release, since no mention of Astron 6 on the cover. Thought it was just another new horror movie, and was gonna wait for reviews. Once I saw the reverse sleeve today, and recognized the actors, I pre-ordered.
And Paz, at least in Nurse is the hottest actress I can think of by far. She's no Spring-chicken, so I don't know how many more films she could hold up that level of physical allure, but I thank her for Nurse.

glad to hear that as I pre ordered this yesterday and haven't seen it yet. wasn't a fan of fathers day But I love Italian horror so the fact this is what there going with im pretty sure I will like it. man I wish there was reverse cover art with that poster.

The reverse-cover it does have is pretty great. Still unsure on this one though. Need to read more reviews.
