Via TheDigitalBits:
[QUOTE]/This is @billhuntbits: New on our #4K #UltraHD List... Infinity War’s likely due in August. Whispers say Avengers/Age of Ultron MAY join it. Paramount’s TMNT hits 7/17. Universal’s Deer Hunter = July-ish. And Sony’s working on Panic Room for BD/UHD... [\QUOTE] |

Hopefully all the extras from the special edition dvd release get ported over. It’ll be nice to finally have Fincher’s complete filmography in HD.

Didn't like it when I saw it in the theater, but will buy it to complete my Fincher collection. Also, maybe I'll feel different about it now. Who knows? Maybe I was in a bad mood that day. But, I do remember that my friend had the same reaction I did.
I'll give it another chance, though. |

There’s never any parity with Fincher’s filmography on a home
video format until the next format comes around. In the DVD days an edition of The Game with an anamorphic transfer and extras was the holy grail of the Fincher filmography and it eventually came, though it came well into the life of the Blu-ray format day-and-date with the Blu release courtesy of Criterion obviously. So the real question is: what Fincher film will be the straggler on 4K disc and what will the newer, superior format be at that time? I have a feeling we’ll all be here bemoaning a Zodiac-shaped gap in our 4K Fincher collection a few years from now. Also, I don’t see this as a huge development. Even when Twilight Time had Panic Room licensed they were waiting for Sony to supply them with a 4K transfer and Sony in turn was waiting for Fincher to approve one. That was probably 2 years ago at least and that was about as concrete as this report. Last edited by GuruAskew; 04-29-2018 at 03:39 AM. |

I obviously meant The Game. You knew I meant The Game, it was the only movie that fit the context of what I posted. It was never non-anamorphic on DVD, it was never missing extras on DVD and Criterion never released it.
Sometimes it’s worth making a correction, sometimes it just makes you look like an *******. Last edited by GuruAskew; 04-29-2018 at 03:44 AM. |

You've could've meant to say "The Gift" but been wrong about *those* details.

How odd would it be for the red-headed stepchild of Fincher's filmography, the only film of his not to have made it to BD, over a decade into the format, to be his first film on 4K Blu-Ray?
I'm not complaining, it's actually one of my favorites among his films, the craft is impeccable and I love that it's a relentless freight train of suspense, with some of the most well-crafted sequences in his career. |
