Cool! Hopefully they re-release the steelbook of the first movie too. Preferably in 4K.

Same here! It's always better with an audience

I saw part 2 twice in theaters. So I'd down for seeing this in theaters if near by.

Man, they're trying really hard to make Art the Clown a thing.. like the Jai Courtney of horror.

I'm the first to admit Art hasn't gotten the name recognition of Michael, Jason, or Freddy among casual movie fans yet. But from everything I've seen online he's certainly a thing in the horror community. He might get up there depending on whether or not T3 and T4 really take off.

If they played part 2, they would probably want to get this one as well (I would hope)

I think with how extreme the Terrifier films are compared to the OG horror icons it puts people of wanting to watch them or revisit them which will hinder his status/rankings

As much as I enjoy them he will never been up there with Michael, Jason or Freddy IMO

That's because Art doesn't have a story. He doesn't have a legend to invest in. Those classic characters didn't stick around just because they "looked" scary or only because they killed in creative ways. People like a good campfire tale behind the villain. Makes you afraid to go camping in the woods, or go out trick or treating, or to even fall asleep. That's what gives them longevity.

Terrifier is all image and gross out fx, like a showcase reel.

This is a good point. But, it seems like that backstory might be building as the series progresses. Even though Terrifier 2 created a lot more questions than it answered, it had much more story than the first movie. Hopefully some of the questions from the second movie are answered in the third and we learn more about Art.

Still though, I'm a huge fan of the Terrifier movies and I don't expect Art to achieve the status of Michael, Freddy, Jason, etc.

I liked the first Terrifier. It wasn't a classic by any means, but it was decent. Outside of the extremely over the top gore, it had a good atmosphere and it didn't overstay its welcome.

The sequel, on the other hand...

Hard to believe this movie was ever in a theater. Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but it looked home made to me.

So it got a theatrical release when it first came out? I didn't know that.

If it plays here, I will definitely check it out, even though I own it at home.

I saw Terrifier 2 three times at the theater, and while I enjoyed the movie every time, the best part of the last 2 screenings was watching and listening to the audience reactions, since I knew what was coming.

FYI when I searched for Terrifier to see if there was any info yet on which theaters near me would have it, I found another listing for
Terrifier 2, returning to theaters on October 23.

My only concern is they both appear to be one-night events. PLEASE don't be Fathom Events, as they aren't eligible for A-List, and I refuse to pay for movie tickets when I already pay for a membership.

They should have it play in Oct, not July. It is a Halloween themed film after all.
