Wow, talk about "out of left field". I don't think I own this on any format, and can't fathom the last time I might've even watched it. Not sure why. Time to revisit before considering a preorder. Looks like something I might've paired up with The Edge back in the day.

Die Hard on a Raft! Big fan of this one I can remember watching it when I was a kid with my mom and sister eating Little Caesers bread sticks haha

Underrated film. Not a classic (like, say, Deliverance) but a good, solid, exciting thriller. Definite purchase.

From the director of L.A. Confidential.

I love the opening "The Water is Wide" credit sequence.

I somehow missed this one during my youth. 90's thrillers are typically entertaining and the cast is great so a blind buy is in order.

I saw it in the theater on opening day. I was the only one there. I remember liking it so I will probably pick it up.

Solid film that should look great in 4K. Here’s hoping that one of the great UK labels rescues some of these KL masters and preserves their organic qualities. 88 Films or Arrow would be perfect.

Glad to see a new 4K master, sad to see it’s from Kino though. Will wait for impressions/reviews/comments and screenshots. But will likely need a different release internationally for better quality.

Great news! Hopefully Deliverance, A River Runs Through It and White Water Summer will all get released on 4K UHD at some point as well!

This is a giant surprise for an underrated film. I really rediscovered it on the DTS LD which has a fantastic soundmix.

Default Meryl Streep was amazing in this

She’s amazing in everything, but this one is one of my all time favorites. Kevin Bacon makes a great villain too and the payoff is perfect.

Another one for my "Jerry Goldsmith did the music so it's worth getting" category!

Speaking of Jerry, there's about 60 minutes of footage of him conducting and recording the score for "The River Wild" out there shot for a documentary. I highly doubt they'll include it as an extra but they blood well should. It's amazing stuff.

Oh, I have that DVD!! It's been so long since I last watched it, I forgot it was related to The River Wild. I don't believe I ever bothered to pick up the actual movie though. That will have to change during some future sale.

I can’t remember if I watched this all the way through before. But I’d be interested in picking up a 4K. Btw, I miss old posters like this without all the floating heads. I just saw the poster for the direct-to-video sequel and not only does it try to copy this poster (but worse) it adds floating heads to the sides of it. I’m sick of floating heads on posters for basically every movie.

If there were news the thread would be updated. You'd think people would be used to Kino releases taking over a year by now.
