Firmware update would be the first guess, Do you have the latest firmware on your player?

Default have you updated your firmware?

Easiest check is firmware, sounds like that could be an easy fix if that's the case.

The other two replys are right on. Usually, at least 95% this problem occurs when a firmware update has not been done.

you should be able to do a firmware update to your player, check here on this site under the "Firmware" tab. Or go to the manufacturers site and look up your player and see if there are directions on a firmware update. Usually via ethernet cable or most times on a burned disc.

That movie did not play on a lot of different players until a firmware update was done. Then it played no problem. That is more than likely what you need. There are a number of other titles that had problems in the past...Pirates, Vacancy, Rise of the silver surfer, etc.
somebody correct me if I am wrong?

Firmware update...thats the major problem when disc is not playing.Check the sharp website for firmware updates for your player and they shopuld have instructions on how its done on your player.

Firmware updates every 3 to 6 months or so just makes your player better.

Welcome to the Blu side of the world.

They should tell you what are you options are for getting the update.I don't think you can burn to a CD a DVD maybe but not a CD.

I am not sure about Sharp but I know Sony will mail you the update if you ask for it.Free of charge.

There is a thread around here somewhere about your sharp player can't seem to find it thou.

Just went through the directions on Sharps site, and the only thing they talk about is the USB storage device, becuase it says to do the FW update you have to plug the USB storage device into the back of the player, so you are right, that might be the only way to do it. Most players you can just burn a disc and pop it in.

i have done this update on 3 sharp players you need to use a usb flash drive and a windows computer. The update wouldn't work from a mac.
