Put your helmets back on, Jackass fans, because another theatrical installment of the prank-based franchise starring Johnny Knoxville is on the way.

For fans of grown men kicking each other in the crotch, this is big news as it's been almost a decade since Jackass 3D. The movies, based on the 2002 MTV gross-out series created by Knoxville, Spike Jonze and Jeff Tremaine, have been incredibly lucrative for Paramount, and Knoxville and Tremaine also teamed up for the successful film Bad Grandpa, indicating there's very much an audience for this creative team to make new movies.

Although the film is expected to arrive in 2021, none of the original cast members, save for Knoxville, have signed on to the project. It's also worth noting this fourth movie will be the first since the death of Ryan Dunn in 2011.

While Knoxville (and other cast members, should they return) is well into their 40s, the stunts will surely have to be even more daring and gross in order to top what's come before. Knoxville spoke to EW about the possibility of a fourth movie in 2018, suggesting they would execute stunts left out of the third one but noting they would "have to bring in some new younger guys."

Directed by Jeff Tremaine, Jackass 4 stars Johnny Knoxville and is expected to release in March 2021.
