I came across this on ebay, and wanted to share. I wasn't sure where to post it, so thought maybe there should be a thread dedicated to ebay deals for Canadians.

I just bought Dunkirk 4K new & sealed for $19.99 with free shipping (and no tax) in Canada :

Not deal related, but the last few days I would be browsing on Ebay and then I would be randomly redirected to another site called Gamiss. Only happens when I am on Ebay.

I get redirected to a “Congratulations Amazon user survey” when I visit this site blu-ray.com. I have to turn off JavaScript to prevent it from popping up.

Oddly enough, that just happened to me too. Very strange. Lately, I'll have a page on eBay freeze up on me too and I'll have to open up a new page. Every other website works perfectly fine on my PC. Must be something going on with their website.

importcds-ca just listed a bunch of used Criterion for around $8 I bought a few but there are still some remaining, they also have a couple of 4K for $8 used as well...

Woke up this morning to find 3 of the 4 orders cancelled. Only one that went through was Devils Backbone... that was the only one I really wanted anyway

I picked up a used copy of Criterion Silence of the Lambs for $11.36 this afternoon. Thanks for the recommendation, I hope "Very Good" is decent quality for importcds-ca. In any case, I don't mind a ~$12 gamble. Also, I hope my order doesn't get cancelled since they've just listed another "Very Good" copy @ $61.35

No problem, I picked up a copy too for the same price, very good should be fine (I hope so anyway). Yeah they have some items for crazy high prices, like Batman Begins for $202.50 haha, not sure why they do that but my $11.36 copy just shipped so it should be fine.

I have bought some used criterions from importcds in the past. The disc should be in great condition and the booklet should be included. However I’d say that there is one chance in three that it won’t come in a scavano case. It’s possible also that the cover won’t fit in the replacement case and thus be damaged. The condition listed really doesn’t matter. An item listed as good may arrive in pristine condition while an item listed as like new may not come in its original case. I think they arbitrary select the condition when they have a new batch to sell.

I have also had MANY too-good-to-be-true Criterion deals fall through with them on eBay. I'm talking at least a dozen. Always "supply issues" or some nonsense as an excuse. That being said, I've had some good deals go through to, so who knows.

Hey, no problem.

Too bad about the spine but at least the discs are fine.

This morning I received two of the ones I ordered for $8 each (My Beautiful Laundrette & A Man Escaped), one was listed as "Good" and the other "Like New" and both of them were basically in the same condition (complete with booklet, near-mint disc). So, like Habsfan77 said the condition listed doesn't seem to matter.

Took another chance on a Criterion 2 weeks ago from importCDs. Wings of Desire was listed as "VERY GOOD" condition, and while the disc and booklet are in perfect condition, the package was very broken. Might just pick up some more cases in the future.

Looks like the team running ImportCDs-CA are on vacation right now, but man - getting used Criterions for prices like these are a real treat.

Yes, a bunch of mine came with cracked/broken cases but all the discs are like new and they all had their booklet and artwork. I'll buy replacement cases eventually, it looks like they'll cost about 2 USD each including shipping. Last one I bought from Import CDs was "Brighter Summer Day", two week ago, for $5.30! I have not yet received it but they do mention in the listing that the case is damaged.

I wonder if these are just brand new copies that were returned or ImportCDs decided not to sell as new because of damaged cases or similar issues, so they just decided to open them up and sell them as used for cheap prices to at least recoup some money.
