Although this is one of the greatest sequels of all time, it didn't quite establish the shark's motivations well enough. I mean, sure, we SEE the shark, but we never get to hear its thoughts.
So although I would say that JAWS was a boring movie with a bunch of guys talking the whole time or something, I am glad that existed so that we could have closure with one of the finest film series in existence. However, JAWS IV: THE REVENGE falls just short of CITIZEN KANE.

I hope it will have both endings.

Ah my good man, you fail to understand the Director's genius at play here with quite possibly one of the finest endings of all Time..

How does one articulate the pain and misery of a long suffering behemoth of a great white shark forced into a life of vengeance. An almighty ROAR channeled from an equally long suffering animated mouse who finally decided enough is enough!

I have a soft spot for this film

Even as a kid this was my least favorite (although I think Jaws 3 was my favorite so take that as you will lol.), but I still rented it a lot. I’m probably going to pass on this—- nostalgia was enough to get me to buy the Blu-ray a while back for about 5 bucks, but I don’t know if I can buy it again at a premium UHD price.

But if you can actually watch the original cut of the movie I might do it.

Great opening, but sadly the film goes down hill after that.
However, i do have a soft spot for it and I'll gladly pick this up with part 3 on day one. There's a video on youtube with a comedian explaining this film, very funny, cant remember who the guy was, Richard something maybe?

I take it these guys completely misunderstood the allegorical implications of this philosophical masterpiece.
