Default Michael Bay Has Written Transformers 2

Transformers 2 director Michael Bay told Rotten Tomatoes at the Visual Effects Society awards that he's already written the sequel and will pass on his script to the screenwriters, who are coming off of the strike:

"I've been writing Transformers 2," said Bay. "We've got our characters all designed. I always write all my scripts, my movies anyway so at least I've got something to give the writers. It's like a template. We have a really good outline so I worked on that." It might be a tad unorthodox, but Bay has high pressure demands. "We had to because I want to make my date. I'm not going to let the strike take me down."

Bay also spoke to IESB, who he assured that we won't be seeing Dinobots in the follow-up. ILM's Scott Farrar also told the site that there will be a lot more robots this time and that the animatics look amazing so far.

I dont know if it is terribly uncommon for a director to come up with his own ideas for a movie and write it down in an outline form to present it to the actual writers of the screenplay. However, it is good to see that Bay is answering requests and making a sequel...

Now lets just hope for the all-out, stunning, megan fox to make an appearance

I think this movie needs some Blu-Ray product placements.

I am glad he is handing over the script to professional screenwriters...I was worried for a moment there.

I think their contract will already be expired... Well, technically it is right now because of WB, but even if they stay the 18 months.

I don't know I like TF but I did not like Bay's camer shots, I wish they would get a good director, one that is not so full of himself. What does it matter i will see it either way.

... I think it was Bay's style that made the film what it was. And makes what-would-be typical popcorn movies like Bad Boys I & II stand out above the rest.

I second the request for Megan Fox in Transformers 2. She is downright stunning.

Knowing Michael Bay, he probably invented a new Autobot named Blu-ray and a Decepticon named HD-DUD.

I am not agreeing or disagreeing...yet...but are you saying Bad Boys 1 and2 were good or bad? I am missing your meaning.

I wouldn't be surprised either. I mean he has really been the biggest iconic figure of blu-ray to date.

I'll miss seeing the Dinobots, but I can live with that, since I know they will be replaced by random, massive explosions, a la Michael Bay style.

And, in the end, that's all that matters.

How about a mini battle between a transforming PS3 & 360? Of course the 360 melts down during the skirmish with the RROD featured prominently on the theater screen as it plummets to its demise.

That's good. He didn't want it to be delayed. Everything is going as scheduled.
