Default Michael Bay Shot 3 Scenes In Imax For Transformers 2.

From the yahoo summer movie guide.

Taking a cue from The Dark Knight, Bay shot three action scenes on IMAX cameras, so the image will fill the entire eight-story screen. So you'll see Optimus Prime at more that double the size he'd be in real life

So does this mean we will get those imax scenes for the blu like the TDK?

If we get them on blu-ray like Dark Knight there is gonna be a slew of pissed off people and expect numerous threads ranging from is my disc messed up, why, etc...
I have a 1:78 screen so It didn't bother me that Dark Knight switched aspect ratios every now and then as I loved having the imax scenes take up my whole screen and it looked fantastic as well. However, I can understand the frustrations coming from people who have 2:35 setups.

I'd love to see the Transformer sat that height and clarity. I mean, it'll probably look better on th BD, but I'll have an excuse to go the IMAX theater. I'm also waitin' like a cat burglar for the new LP Transformers theme song to become available on iTunes. It said available for download 5.18.09.

I was hoping that the Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix blu ray movie would have those imax scenes in it...I understand that it was 3D, but i'm sure they could have change it, and still kept the imax scenes for the movie

thoughts?

Considering bay really pushed / loves blu-ray I don't see why we wouldn't see these scenes on the blu-ray disc.

The aspect ratio switching is annoying.

+2, I thought it was really cool to see in TDK. So here's hoping for the same for T2.

I'm calling it now. There will be at least 5 treads pertaining to the "constant screen changing."

I wish more movies did this, I loved how in TDK there were scenes in imax, I didn't care about the movie switching between aspect ratios.

i think you may be calling it a little low

i personally don't have a preference on which ratio i want it, if Bay wants it to be the same as the non-IMAX scenes, fine by me
if he wants it to switch to 1.78 like nolan did for dark knight, fine by me

either way i'll be happy
i just want this thing to come to the IMAX already!!

+1 Thats the way I prefer it. It'd be cool if Michael Bay made the whole movie in IMAX so that the blu-ray copy will be like that. Seeing it in The Dark Knight looked alot better than the 16:9 ratio.

I cannot wait for this to come out! Shifting aspect ratios are cool, stays true to the OAR. At first, I must admit, it bothered me. But, I grew to like shifting aspect ratios.
