Hopefully there's a separate Blu-ray release this time, and also an 8-movie collection Blu-ray and 4K box set.

I'm praying that the aspect ratio change on Blu-ray is true. For me, it would be a definite visual upgrade and the "cherry in the cake" for this release, like the 3D version of Fallout. It's a pity the last two installments weren't produced in 3D.

My question is: will there be a set combining #7 & #8...or just a full set (all movies--eventually)...or just a single movie (which means I'll finally need to buy #7)?

I’m guessing no separate blu-ray release since this is Paramount.

It's a bit of a bittersweet story, but I went through a really tough time with my mental health just before Dead Reckoning was released. It was a struggle just to get to the cinema to see it, and at the time, I wasn't sure I'd even make it to see Part 2. Thankfully, I'm in a much better place now, and it's only recently hit me how significant (the aptly titled) The Final Reckoning is for me.

As a bit of a symbolic move, I cancelled all my streaming service subscriptions this month, bought tickets for a back-to-back screening of both movies at the IMAX, and got a subscription for Adobe Creative Cloud. I've been learning Premiere Pro on my laptop so I can edit video.

This was the outcome - a "supercut" trailer for Dead Reckoning and The Final Reckoning. I'm pumped!

I'll probably stream this and then patiently wait for a box set of everything. Only one I own is Fallout in 3D.

I'll wager the steelbook will be a bright yellow to completely not match any of the previous releases.

This film title bothers me. The first was called Dead Reckoning Part One. If they were going to name the followup Final Reckoning, why’d they bother naming the first one Part One? ****

Final Reckoning initially was Dead Reckoning Part 2 but after Part 1 underperformed at the box office, Paramount and the filmmakers decided to go with another title.

Really? What I've read is that it's pretty decent overall.

Where are you hearing this?

This is twice I've seen posts that only say "not hearing good things" on two different boards I go on. So I go to RT and its got an 88 with 92 reviews.

Something is not adding up.

Driving 90 minutes out of state with the better half to see this in an actual IMAX with Laser theater next Friday. We usually drive up there to see stuff in Dolby, but I felt like IMAX makes more sense for this one.

Just some social media reactions. The thing I'm looking at is that running time. Some people are complaining about the length. Which, I understand.... If a film is 3 hours and less than great some people will be tougher on it I think. It's easier in my experience to watch these films at home where you can pause the film or whatever.

It's not that I'm seeing people say its horrible, but a 3 hr decent movie will disappoint some people. It's also Tom's final outing in this series? Expectations are going to be pretty high.

Yeah, 3hrs in a theater is too long for me these days even if this is the type of movie I feel warrants me getting off my ass and dealing with the pain to go see it on the big screen.
