Warner will be releasing the 1968-69 series The Adventures of Batman on Blu-ray on February 28th, 2023.

Nice. I think that's enough for me to believe it's happening then as these animated releases often get posted at Amazon France before listings in the US.

Hopefully the Filmation Superman (and Superboy, this time, since the legalities aren't an issue as before), Aquaman (including the DC Super Heroes shorts) will also follow at some point. Super Friends is a possibility too.

Not sure if there are suitable existing materials for Plastic Man to get an HD restoration, though.

I'm surprised they didn't announce this at Comic Con. I know it's not a major release, but it would still get good press there and is more fitting of an announcement than stuff actually announced there nowadays.

This could be great! I hope they put out the vintage DC cartoons. I'd love the 80's Superman and of course, Super Friends. I'd double dip once for these titles on Blu-ray. If this turns out to just be an SD on Blu-ray release, I'm OK with that. Still an upgrade!

Wish Disney would give this love to vintage Marvel. * sigh *

This is great news as all of the older cartoons are overlooked.
If they did a single Super Friends in chronological order set I think that would make countless fans happy.

But it's the standard studio label so expect any and all kinds of goof ups and terrible compression with the higher than it should be price tag.

Wow. I wasn't sure what this was. In fact I didn't think I'd seen a Batman animated series before the 90s one. But I watched the opening from this series on YouTube and memories are flooding back. Must've seen reruns of this as a toddler. Is this series any good?
