I only have this from the "Forever Marilyn" Collection, so I'll add this to my wishlist.

Seems like a waste of time with Kino already releasing it domestically.

Criterion is wasting no time with these upgrades. I guess there is not much work to do since the supplements have already been created.

Criterion wasting no time on this. The Kino is still in stock at Amazon, you'd think they'd wait a while so supply/demand can be a bit more favorable for their release.

That release is OOP. I rather something remain in print than go the route of high prices on ebay with dwindling retailer inventory.

They snatched this up so quick the last release's corpse hasn't even been buried yet.

lol I just bought the Kino disc and put my Criterion blu in a 2-disc case and added it. So I basically just made this release myself.

If Criterion isn't completely crazy they'll finally fix the audio. Really doubting it though.

Well, it wasn't Kino's choice to put those high profile MGM 4k UHDs OOP.

I wholeheartedly agree with ths sentiment. However, considering i've owned the 2 diac DVD, the MGM Blu, the Criterion blu, digitally on FAH and the Kino 4k, I personally will likely not be upgrading this disc unless the PQ somehow BLOWS the rest of the lot out of the water.

Yeah, If you own the Kino 4K already then there's not a whole lot of incentive/need to get this one also unless you really want the CC extras too.

Wasn’t one of the issues on Kino they nixed the audio before the film starts.

Hopefully that is corrected

Haha, Kino must’ve really hurt Criterion’s feelings.

It still looks readily available on online retailers(albeit maybe without the slipcover). Maybe it'll be harder to come by in 2 1/2 months when Criterion's disc is released. I guess we'll find out.

I paid $7.99 for the OOP 4K via that NYE Kino sale. I'm good.

It’s only been out of print for two weeks, so it makes sense that many retailers would still have some stock.

Can't wait for the multiple pages of Kino vs Criterion PQ & AQ comparisons!
