Disney Tron Legacy 3D Blu-ray (2010) [Region Free]

TRON: Legacy 3D / TRON Limited Edition Blu-ray

Just seen advertised on DVDWorldUSA.com a limited edition for Tron: Legacy and Tron Blu-ray.
The pack included Tron: Legacy 3D Blu-ray, Tron Blu-ray, DVD & Digital Copy.. 5 discs in total which comes with Identity Disc collectable packaging.
I grew up watching the original Tron movie and although I have not yet seen Tron: Legacy I have ordered this collectors edition.. looks pretty cool and will make a nice addition to my Blu-ray collection.

Anyone wanting to check it out here is the link....

Amazon also has this and a few other options posted.

wasn't a fan of Legacy, but might have to get the complete set.

I'm annoyed that the only way to get Legacy in 3D and the original is to buy the ultimate collector box. I know most people love "cool packaging" but I want something simple to put on my shelf.

Scratch that - I was wrong.

They are talking sequels already to Legacy, so "complete set" this will not be per se.

I'm not sure if I'll end up picking this one up. For me the original didn't age very well, and the new one was... fine. Entertaining, but not amazing.

Tron (by most measures a witty, thought provoking, and endearing film)'s Legacy was raped and admitted, de facto, by bundling the original with the follow-up turd. Disney should do the wise thing and slink away in shame from this franchise after vomiting this heartless, brainless abortion of a film into theaters

if you can tell me how Legacy was more than skin deep, I'd like to read it. if you have to use adjectives like cool, sweet, awesome, rad, or sexy, save our time.

I love how someone always has to come into a thread and say how crappy a movie is. I learned a long time ago, you aren't going to change other peoples opinions on a film by crapping in a thread, just to make youself look (okay, I won't use the word "cool") superior. It happens in every thread. BTW, the original TRON will be available by itself.

I don't own a 3DTV yet, but I'm picking up the 3D version 5-disc set. I'm super stoked. I understand that the original movie got a major tweak without taking anything away from the original theatrical release.

You know, for as many plotholes and weird things about Legacy, I absolutely had a blast watching it. Bridges is great as always. Olivia is fun. I truly keep saying to myself that I can't wait to see it again. It was just a really fun ride and pretty damn clever, what with the creation of CLU 2.0 and making him the main villian. Plus, I love 3D, so that's just a bonus in my book.

I know those aren't merits to a lot of other people, but to each his own.

Amazon.com have this priced at $69.99. I'm personally going to wait to see how much BluRays for Everyone will be charging, had a perfect shopping experience with them, not bought from US Amazon as of yet so skeptical on shipping to UK/Import Charges from them.

I'll pick up the 3D copy of Legacy

I dont need every movie to be 'skin deep'. I found legacy greatly entertained me. Fun, good action, good characters, and visually pleasing to the eye. I'm wasnt looking for a serious academy award winning drama. I got what I paid for.

I dont care for the original, so I wont buy it. No need to go into a lengthy discussion about it. This is a positive thread about the release! *wink, wink*

Sorry, I haven't seen it. If you are looking for reviews try the IMDB, there are plenty of them there, Also, TRON Legacy has a higher user ranking than the original on IMDB.

I was just stating how some people feel it is their duty to inform everyone of their low opinion of a particular movie.

My funds are also limited, as well with the 3DS coming out. I've decided to get the 3D version of Legacy only, instead of the 5-disc set. I'll get the remastered Tron at some future point when I can afford it. In the meantime, I can still enjoy the 20th anniversary DVD I bought ages ago.

Same here, I am glad they're offering the same set, without the collector's packaging. I like to just put it on the shelf with my other movies. The only Blu-ray set I plan on buying with collector's packaging, if such an option exists upon release, is the Star Wars Saga.

It would be awesome to have the shifting aspect ratios make their way to Blu-ray. To tell you the truth, in IMAX 3D, you don't even notice the shifts. With films like the Dark Knight or Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, they're easy to spot. But with Tron, the shifts were seamless and I think it was because of the 3D experience.

Actually it's because the whole movie is "painted" against black There's no bright sudden increases
