Default The Blacklist: The Complete First Season - Pre-order (August 12, 2014)

The Blacklist: The Complete First Season Blu-ray
The Blacklist: The Complete First Season Pre-order

Quote:
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has officially announced that it will release on Blu-ray The Blacklist: The Complete First Season. The five-disc set will be available for purchase on August 12th.

Synopsis: Raymond "Red" Reddington, one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives, surrenders at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C.. He claims the FBI and he have the same interests, that is, getting rid of dangerous criminals and terrorists. Reddington will co-operate, but insists he will speak only to Elizabeth Keen, a rookie FBI profiler. Keen questions Reddington's sudden interest in her, despite his claim she is very special. After the FBI brings down a terrorist he provided information on, Reddington reveals that this terrorist is only the first of many. In the last two decades, he's made a list of criminals and terrorists he believes matter the most; a list the FBI doesn't know exists. Reddington calls it "The Blacklist".

Special Features:
  • Audio Commentaries
  • "Beyond the Blacklist" Featurettes
  • "The Insider: Behind the Scenes of Season 1"
  • Character Dossiers (Blu-ray exclusive)
  • "Inception: Making the Pilot" (Blu-ray exclusive)
  • "Rogues' Gallery: The Blacklisters" (Blu-ray exclusive)

On Blu-ray? Nice. It would be awesome if Chicago Fire would get a BD set as well (Season 1 DVD is out already).

Very entertaining show so far. I wonder how they will keep it going though for future seasons.

Just as information: Chicago Fire is available on Blu-Ray in UK. Maybe importing would be an option for you.

Love The Blacklist!! It's my favorite new show this season. That may very well change once Almost Human starts in ten days though Stoked for that one!! But you gotta love James Spader; he's in top form in this series

Almost Human's premiere date has been pushed back two weeks with the pilot airing November 17 and then moving into it's normal Monday time slot on November 18 (at least in the US, not sure about the Canadian dates).

Oh that sucks It's my most anticipated show this season. Huge sci-fi fan and I love Karl Urban. It looks like it's got a lot of promise!

I really wasn't expecting much from this and so far it has been a pleasant surprise. A mix between The Silence of the Lambs and Homeland with a procedural twist. The show definitely works in large part because of Spader, who makes it fun to watch and chews all the scenery. Unfortunately, the rest of the cast just can't keep up. These characters may develop in time, but at the outset, they serve as little more than window dressing. Take for example Megan Boone and how her character falls short in every sense. She's so stiff and what's up with her awful wig?

It's an enjoyable show. The pilot was very good, but then it dropped off a little in the 2 following eps, but the last 2 have been pretty solid. Spader is just great in it.

As with every single release, this will be cheaper on release day, which is all that matters. Most of the time the price is just a placeholder when Amazon first puts up a release for pre-order.

Day 1 - i'm loving this sh!t outta this show Spader is chewing every bit of scenery and makes this show just that little bit better. Plus is has a bit of grunt for a network show.

Lightbulb All "season" titles(bd)of a tv show should be in the $15-$19 price range(IMO)!

For all fellow Canucks; pre-orders just went up on Amazon.ca and it's priced at $44.50. At that price, I pre-ordered. TV shows are rarely this cheap in Canada, even on release day so this is a steal

I doubt we'll get a date for a while, but a release in August or September is a given since that's when the shows airing in the Fall come out. A better price is a given. It doesn't matter what the price is right now when it's not coming out for 5 or 6 months.

Great show. Love Spader's character, and his performance has been top notch.

Hope the Blu-ray gets some solid extras.
