Default Blu-ray Discs fuzzy

Hi,
When I play Blu-Ray(R) Disks there is alot of fuzz that I notice. So far I have played Wild Hogs, Chain Reaction, and Stir of Echoes and without doubt Stir of Echoes is the worst but they all have it. I've never noticed it on DVD's before only Blu-Ray(R)s (although I did notice it in the Silent Hill 3 video game for PS2 too). My Blu-Ray(R) player is my PS3(R) 80GB connected to my Toshiba(R) Regza(R) 32' TV via HDMI(R). Why is there fuzz on the Blu-Ray(R)s?

Either you're a troll, or you're actually new to Blu-ray. I think you're talking about grain, which has been talked about many of times. Use the search button and search "grain". You will be surprised with how many results you get. Oh and don't worry, nothing is wrong with what you're using to watch your Blu-rays.

The settings on your tv might have something to do with it. It might also have to do with the fact that you only have a 32"(that doesn't have 1080) does it?

Well you're not going to see the Blu in all it's glory then. But also be sure to turn off any image enhancing settings on your tv, and turn the sharpness way down. Mine's at zero. Go check out the "Calibrating your tv" thread thre's some good advice in there.
And welcome to the forums

Yeah what he said lol. I have 720p/1080i tv and it helps to have the sharpness down at 0. Plus I have all my enhancing settings off, which makes the picture more smooth.

I have wild hogs, theres no fuzz.....unless you're talking about the grain on the indoor scenes.

Like said above, I have to question the OP because of the (R) behind Blu ray and everything else.....

WIld Hogs is clear as a whistle, but if he doesnt change his video format it may be displaying in 480i/p. Thats how my Mitsubishi was when it arrived, I put in CARS and was like WTF? It looked worse than the dvd, then I realized it was outputting 480 resolution.
Things are alot clearer now

Maybe he just has extreme respect for the registered trademark?

Obviously, your Toshiba(R) Regza(R) hdtv identifies the video player as a Sony(R) PS3(R) through the HDMI(R) cable and sets it's internal video processor to Sabotage Mode(R).

If you're actually looking for something honest, rent Ratatouille(R) and watch a clean video with no grain. Calibrate your set accordingly.

I thought grain was also a trademark.

It really is just an artifact of film?

That would really suck if each grain was trademarked.

Can you imagine how expensive movies would be if the studios had to pay a royalty on each peice of grain?
