We expect that Paramount and Universal may have official comments of their own as early as tomorrow morning
What do you think they will say/announce?

Transformers released within days!?! Wow. If true that would mean they have been working on the disc for a month or so.

but, while we are waiting, here are some Blu-rays we found hidden in a warehouse. We also have a few Blu-rays discs inexplicably rolling off the assembly lines that you can purchase.

We will continue to support the HD-DVD format ... unfortunately, we will not be able to produce physical discs for the foreseeable future."

haha niiiice

but in all honesty... I see Paramount saying something like, "we have copies of top gun, jack ryan, blades, and face/off in our warehouses waiting to be distributed that we pressed before our announcement. We also have transformers in the works. All of which will see a release date at some point in the next few months. We are ecstatic to be supporting blu once again!"

Universal will say... "We have now decided to back BD. We will be releasing titles within the next few months"

Both companies I hope will also mention release dates for some titles by the time they make their announcement

What kind of news does Paramount bring to the BDA?

PARAMOUNT:
There Will Be Blood

REPORTER:
Are you saying you're planning something evil?

PARAMOUNT:
Yes, Transformers.

If Transformers is released that soon, it was probably pressed before Paramount switched, and if thats the case I think we may be disappointed with it, as we are expecting it to be amazing. Now if it takes a month or so they could have been working on it for an extra six months and were just waiting to press the disc.

I hope when Paramount and Universal announce BD support (assuming Toshiba pulls the plug in a few hours studio announcements better be tomorrow) they announce what there first titles will be and when to expect them (at least the month).

It might not be that soon. More than likely I think we are going to have to wait a while.
