I spoke to Beyond Home Entertainment early this afternoon about the audio specs for this release. It will contain:

Dolby Digital 5.1

and...

DTS-HD 5.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why even include lossly audio at all? I think it would be safer to wait and see what is actually included on the disc, after they stuffed up season 1.

Magna stuffed it up, but since they've merged with Beyond, I'm sure they won't.

It really infuriated me when the consultant told me that Season 1 could've had a lossless soundtrack but they decided against it.

Magna Pacific has been owned by Beyond Home Entertainment since 2009, and all staff from Magna Pacific were retained when they finally merged last year. So I doubt that will make any difference at all.

YES! Been waiting for this release. Hopefully it'll come in the metal pacakaging like Season 1 at JB.

Does anyone know if this will be region free? Was season one region free?

I bought the first set out of Canada, with DTS-MA. And this looks like it might be the only place in the world to get season 2.

Season 2 isn't listed as Limited Edition at Beyond Home Entertainment or EzyDVD, so I would expect a standard Blu-Ray case.

Season 1 was listed is Region B only on the back cover.

I expect season 2 will be released on Blu-Ray in Canada eventually, and in better quality again too.

Just ordered season 1 from Amazon Canada. Shipping estimate is 6 - 8 weeks X_X

Will have to think of whether I can wait even longer for season 2

NO DTS-HD!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: Just had a quick look at the first disc and it has a sound format select. It has both Dolby 5.1 AND DTS-HD MA 5.1.

Once again, the cover is in error.

It is funny...The first set carried the DTS-HD Master Audio logo although it was just Dolby Digital. Now the second season packaging lists only lossy audio but it actually HAS DTS-HD Master Audio apparently. Seems they got it exactly the wrong way around...

I preordered this set with Mighty Ape since they are cheaper than JB Hi-Fi and I already might have to pay additional taxes :-(.

Can anyone reveal if the picture is 1080p this time around? The first set was 1080i.

Also: Can anyone take a picture of how the set is packaged?

it is 1080/24p its in a steel book like the first one.

I don't know if it is 1080p or 1080i. From what I have seen so far, there are no bonus materials.
