Default Enough with the hd dvd threads...

It is over and done, haha hehe whatever....
Can we stop with the repetitive threads every time some idiot on another forum makes some comment about the format?
It is dead and does not deserve the bandwidth, move on.
We can finally move forward and talk about movies.

There isn't even suppossed to be any HD-DVD discussions in this forum, but with all the news I'm sure the mods have there hands full, it should die down by the end of the week.

It's our day to gloat. The threads will be merged soon enough. For now, can't we all just bask in our victory?

Dang, that's a bit of a wait But logically speaking, wouldn't you think that the studio's would already be prepared for this, considering it has been so clearly enevitable for the last coupla months?

The smackdown forums...hell all of the forums...on highdefdigest were out of control last night. Looked like AVS back in November.

I got some infraction for defending Bill Hunt. My response wasn't anything near as bad as what was being flung his way.

You will see Paramount before then, but I was honestly expecting may anyway to be honest.
When Warner set the time frame for when they would drop hd I assumed that Paramount and Universal would use the time until then to get everything in place and essentially plan on releasing in the same window.
The change in situation with Toshiba dropping gives the studios the ability to put more focus which will move things up a little.
Paramount has the advantage of already having media waiting.

Good points. And I don't mind waiting a little longer if it means we get the best encodes possible

I know they have a statement ready to. They need to get on it. I want release dates. Never seen transformers, but I might buy it . But I do want me some Cloverfield and Top Gun.
