The series is lots of fun, although I still need to complete the original. Glad they're able to make a sequel w/o crowdfunding.

Didn’t know the original was on Gameboy Advance. I have the other 3 on PS4.

I like this series so I will definitely get the new one.

I will pick this up when it receives a physical copy (it's a safe bet that LRG will be handling the distribution, seeing as they will be selling SatSS merchandise at PAX West 2019).

In the meantime, I still need to pick up Shantae: Half-Genie Hero (Risky Beats Edition) on disc.

It was GameBoy Color, but compatible w/ GBA. I only have the 3DS eShop version, which unfortunately does not include GBC support.

A little disappointed that it will not get full voice acting. But at least we are getting new transformations, fusion creature transformation magic, non-linear interconnected world, dungeons, new towns, more half-genies, animated TV style cut-scenes, all-new characters and old favorites, and power up with collectable monster cards.

I really wish they would release a gameplay trailer.

Cheers for clarifying, it’s been awhile.

I wonder if it be too much to ask them to reboot the original to tie in with the other 3.

Shantea and The Seven Sirens will be at PAX West. So hopefully we get more info and a trailer.

That would be awesome!

It would probably be really time consuming to bring it up to a full 4K upgrade, maybe they could farm it out to Lizard Cube and it could be like their Wonder Boy III remake. Would even be nice if they made the GBC version unlockable (or perhaps DLC) in the new game.

I was checking out the Shantae stuff available @ PAX and had a mini freakout when i saw Snatcher. Apparently its not a port or Sega CD reprint, its a damn cassette tape of the soundtrack...

The retro packaging for Shantae is great.

Never played any of the other games.

Looks like there will be...

5 slots for fusion coins.

4 slots for dances.

10 slots for items.

6 slots for relics.

8 slots for key items.

50 slots for monster cards(can equip 3 cards).

Monster card example: crab(increases crawl speed).

Youtube has more gaming videos that cover the beginning of the game.

I like the Redheaded and green skinned(zombie?) half-genies the best.

I like all the silver/white haired girls in the town.

It's nice to see more zombies then the same ones we are familiar with.

I wonder what the other towns will be like.

I can't wait to play this game.

I really am impressed with the illustrated cartoon graphics of these games in HD. Looks awesome and very colorful.

Never played any of this series before, but definitely seems like I should jump in with this one. Not a ton of great platformers anymore, and this one obviously looks pretty good.

The graphics and art are great, along with the smooth gameplay.

Here's another Shantae and the Pirates game a few years back with pixel graphics, before this release.
