Never really saw the original series, but if the 90s version came out, i'd buy that in a heartbeat. I still have vivid memories of the first episode debut.. mainly because I got lost for hours while walking to a holiday home and all I could think about was "I'm missing The Outer Limits!" lol

I've always seen the outer limits as a poor mans Twilight Zone. But I would get this complete set over the split release that was put out in the U.S. seeing as the second season was so short.

Got excited it was the 90's series. That had some great episodes.

It'll be interesting to see if they use the same transfers, extras etc as the US Kino set. And if so, whether they use corrected disc that had audio problems.

ViaVision has released the 90s series on DVD in full. I think it'd be another case of an expensive HD rebuild (ala Star Trek: The Next Generation) for it to come to Blu, though.

Would love to get this. Just not sure about the $149.95 RRP. As I still have the original DVD of season 1 when it was first released back in 2003 on 4 DVD-18 discs (two-sided DVD disc with two layers of data on both sides of the disc) by MGM/Twentieth Century Fox Australia.

This is what I've been waiting for--a complete series set.

Kino should have done this when they released theirs instead of individual seasons.

I have both seasons on those tedious, horrid and out of date "flipper" discs, so I for one will be glad for the upgrade. Those things had many issues, aside from the iffy picture quality.

One of the commentaries mentioned working with Kino Lorber in the KL Outer Limits forum earlier. Some of the extras may be ported over from the U.S. release but Via Vision would have to consult and possibly compensate Kino Lorber if licensing rights for use of materials apply.

My take on audio, the original pressing was clean then looses tracking, an 'analog' issue. It took Kino a LONG TIME in getting replacement discs out there, probably because MGM was dragging their feet, and even then, a 'secondary' audio source was substituted for the original. It should prove interesting to see if Via Vision has MGM stitch in an alternative audio source for the effected areas of the original. It's just a simple copy and paste from 2 digital audio sources but it takes initiative on MGM's part. They got lazy on Kino's replacement disc but at least it was addressed earlier on the KL Outer Limits forum, so MGM can not say... Oh! We didn't know.

I hope this is still being released here. The Madman link further up this page is now showing nothing, though Ezydvd still have it as coming...

Well if it's being released in Australia next year, then there's a good chance that some company in the UK will release it

Anyone know if this set will be uncut? When released by Alliance Home Entertainment (in Canada) in 2010 Seasons 3–6 contain censored episodes.

This is the original series and there were only 2 seasons

The Alliance sets are DVDs of the 1990's series
