One of the commentaries mentioned working with Kino Lorber in the KL Outer Limits forum earlier. Some of the extras may be ported over from the U.S. release but Via Vision would have to consult and possibly compensate Kino Lorber if licensing rights for use of materials apply.
My take on audio, the original pressing was clean then looses tracking, an 'analog' issue. It took Kino a LONG TIME in getting replacement discs out there, probably because MGM was dragging their feet, and even then, a 'secondary' audio source was substituted for the original. It should prove interesting to see if Via Vision has MGM stitch in an alternative audio source for the effected areas of the original. It's just a simple copy and paste from 2 digital audio sources but it takes initiative on MGM's part. They got lazy on Kino's replacement disc but at least it was addressed earlier on the KL Outer Limits forum, so MGM can not say... Oh! We didn't know.
