Do the standard editions come with slipcovers? Just curious going to pre-order regardless since I’ve been waiting forever for this upgrade.

Why does Second Sight hate me having money so much. Not the hugest fan of this art but I adore this movie and I know SS is gonna knock it outta the park with this release so of course I'm gonna snag it

Of course. Just blind bought it on Blu-ray.

I've really dialed back my Blu-ray purchases to "Well...this will never get a 4K" and I'm still getting dipped.

So by coincidence I saw this last week and a) it's great, you won't forget the moment when you realize this movie's not kidding, and b) it's one of the most rewatchable 90-minute thrillers ever. Things like
[Show spoiler]"the band only has one phone" and "the drummer knows MMA"
are neatly folded into small talk, and the varying motives of Darcy and his skinhead underlings, associates, and hangers-on are crammed in with minimal dialogue.

It is disappointing that Patrick Stewart kind of mailed this one in, though.

edit: Hopefully this subtitle botch is fixed:

[Show spoiler]

The actual line is "I wanna go to jail."

I really enjoy this movie. I do think the ending leaves a bit to be desired, but good god the
[Show spoiler]knife to the gut
, and the
[Show spoiler]"arm reveal"
are so f**king visceral and horrifying.

I know I'm getting Possessor but this one I'm more wary of blind-buying. Is it more horror than action? It seems like it's more horror and without the things that make me like horror (sci-fi/fantasy elements).

It's definitely not an action film, lmao. I've only seen bits of it when it was on TV but from what I recall, it's basically about a punk band being terrorised by neo-Nazis. I dunno if it's your cup of tea.

An outstanding horror drama that I loved from the first time I saw it. This is one intense brutal movie. Already pre-ordered the limited edition from Diabolic.

Loved this though thought the sound on the blu was a bit low. Will deffo pick the 4k up. It was pretty brutal.

This right here. I’m usually ok with grisly stuff in movies but Green Room still manages to makes me wince every time I see it.

Such a great film. Anton Yelchin’s performance was amazing.

Really hope with this announcement, we could potentially see a release for Blue Ruin (2014).

You could sort of describe it as a more visceral Attack on Precinct 13th. Definitely brutal and violent, but it’s more of a thriller with a bit of horror and action.

i would say this is more in the vein of assault on precinct 13 than a true horror movie. imagine assault, but then maybe sprinkle in some of the violence from haute tension. (obviously, this isn’t as graphically violent as that. but the violence is shocking)

i personally wouldn’t even say it is action. exploitation. but not action.

This was one of those films that completely took me by surprise. Very tense and suspenseful. The setting is unique and unsettling. Characterization is strong with some great performances. Patrick Stewart for one is unlike you’ve ever seen him before. Definitely a worthy 4K upgrade for me. I just need to decide if it’s worth paying $20 more for the LE over the standard.
