Bold move releasing this out of a set, I really didn't think it would be. I have actually not watched this disc from my Blu ray trilogy set yet which I bought 2 years ago. Trying to get around to it, everytime I open the case and intend to grab it I end up going for one of the other two instead. Besides George Lucas and Serge this film is just painful.

Likely the strategy with Paramount here is to release the 3rd film on UHD separately first than do a fancy UHD complete set with the 4th film included. Glad this film is finally getting a UHD release. Day 1 purchase! I have to own it since I have the first two films on UHD.

I grew up with this one. As a matter of fact I hadn't seen the first two at all but this was constantly on TV.

Don't worry you're not missing anything, you're smart with frequently returning to the first two

I knew it was gonna be weaker when I first saw it compared to the first two but wowiee it was worse than I thought it'd be

A jarring shift in tone this third outing. I found it oddly watchable, like watching a disaster unfold in front of me.

Ballsy of Paramount to release this on 4K. BHCIII is flat-out terrible.

Itīs a shame that part 4 won't hit theaters.

A hit like "Top Gun-Maverick" would have been awesome again for Jerry Bruckheimer.

Yup. I only saw it for the first time last year and, it sure is terrible.

Struggling to think of another movie in a trilogy that is so bad, compared to the first (or second).

Makes sense given they already did the 4k transfer back when they released the trilogy on BR, about 3-4 years ago

X-Men: Apocalypse jumped to mind when I read this. Also Blade: Trinity.

I upgraded the first two films to 4K but I won't bother with this one. Such a disappointing film. The tone was completely wrong.

The first two were action flicks with virtually all of the comedy (bar a tiny bit of Taggart and Rosewood's antics) stemming from Axel's "cooler than everyone else in the room" wisecracks.

The third film was directed by John Landis, who was a comedy guy, so he directed that film like a comedy and it just didn't work. Some scenes such as the Annihilator 2000 verge on slapstick with a now-edgeless Eddie mugging for the camera.

The first two flicks were cool AF, the third was just lame.
