I am strongly considering picking up a blu ray player within the next few months and I want to know if anyone has any particular recommendations. Right now, I think I am leaning toward the Panasonic, but the only thing that is holding me back is its lack of 1080p24 output. I know that the Sony has it and the Pioneer is supposed to, but I am not sure how important that feature really is for me. I have a Pioneer PDP-5070HD which is a native 768p display but can accept a 1080p24 signal and display at 72hz.
I really like the reviews I have heard so far for the Panny (most seem to think it's slightly better than the Sony), but I just want to know if 1080p24 on the Sony would actually provide a significant benefit for me and therefore provide better picture quality than the Panny. Thanks! |
