Default Panasonic Blu-Ray w/ Yamaha Receiver - NO VIDEO

I recently purchased brand-new, a Panasonic DMP-BD60 Blue-ray player. If I connect it via HDMI cable to my Yamaha Receiver (RX-V565), I get sound, but no Video on my Panasonic HDTV (connected via HDMI to the receiver). Anything else connected to the receiver works fine. If I connect the blu-ray player directly into the TV, bypassing the receiver, I do get video.

So, the receiver works and the blu-ray player works, except when they are connected together. I have checked & swapped all cables, tried every available HDMI port, etc. I have updated the firmware on the Panasonic blu-ray to the latest version. The Yamaha is already up-to-date.

When I have them connected together, and I turn on the blu-ray player, it goes through it's initial startup and flashes HDMI on the LCD, indicating it has detected an HDMI device to connect with. Yet, I get audio, but no video on the TV.

The TV is not 1080P, as it is 3 years old. Do I have a resolution matching issue?

Anyone ever seen anything like this or have any suggestions?

TIA,

Al
