Damn it.

They need to make a decision fast. Either dump HD DVD for good or start releasing on Blu-ray also.

To me it says the releases that are already done or near done for HD might be the only ones that see the light of day.

Saying they are in flux with the HD releases is saying they may just cancel everything from then on out, but haven't completely decided that yet.

I hope Universal reviews it's PQ/AQ rankings and decides to step things up when they release on Blu. They've are near the bottom in quality from the combined reviews of many sites.

Even after Universal began to back blu-ray disc, by default, they should still release HDDVD that already on plan. This news gave us a clear signal that universal is evaluating about dropping current HDDVD plans.

If the retailers don't want the product then why continue to ship duds. Its not like there is going to be a huge demand for them.

This is positive news! Retailering are probably telling them to keep their HD DVDs nd that's why Universal's plans for them are in flux.

No retailer support means no sales. Simple. What choice do they have then.

I think Uni will be dropping all future HD-DVD releases.
