InsaneCableGuy New Member Member since:Feb 2008	playstation 3 or stand alone player? I am thinking of jumping in and finally going blue. Been on the fence because of hd-dvd. I play games but I want a really nice movie player. In the past game systems didnt do dvd as good as a stand alone unit( my experience anyway). Is there a drive speed issue( x2,x8,x12)? I am on this line of thinking.......ps3 is one of the 1st ones out there and I heard(dont know if its true) its a single speed which causes long loading and such. Is there a x2 speed drive and does that improve performance? As you can see I still have alot to learn
