Default Top 3 Blu-Rays you own and why?

MY TOP 3 ARE:

1) 2001 Space Odyssey - Great, Timeless Sci-Fi, well directed. HAL is scary and is nothing but a voice - powerful. Transfer is the best I've seen

2) Pans Labyrinth - Georgous to watch, wonderfully acted, great balance between the real and the unreal.

3) Casino Royle - Its the one I always demo for friends that haven't had the BLU experience yet.

Anxiously Awaiting.... Gangs of NY, Wizard of OZ, The Good The Bad, The Ugly, the Machinest, Donnie Darko, Intersection, Stand By Me, Batman Begins to name but a few....

1. Pan's Labyrinth - because it's awesome.... pic quality and the dts-hs-ma 7.1 will rock your house off the foundation.

2. 2001: A Space Odyssey just because it's the greatest movie ever made and looks amazing on blu.

3. Live Free or Die Hard - the audio is off the chain! Like seriously, it's insane sounding and the PQ is extremely good.

1. Cars - is there any clearer transfer than this one?
2. Sunshine - A feast for the eyes and the ears.
3. Kingdom of Heaven - might as well be in the movie theater. Some film grain, but it adds to the film experience. Crystal clear clarity, amazing sound.

1. Casino Royale - This movie is why I got a PS3. It's now my favorite Bond film and the video really pops in places. I've watched this 4 or 5 times already.

2. Cars - Although I like several other Pixar films quite a bit more, the Blu-ray version of this movie adds so much over the DVD version, especially in the audio department. The growl of the engines is fantastic. This movie came alive much more on Blu-ray than it did on DVD, that's why it gets a nod.

3. (tie) Surf's Up - I got this as a blind buy and it was even better than I thought it would be. I totally 'got' what they were trying to do with the documentary style. It's one of the few films I've watched all the extras on in the last year. Very cool stuff on how they achieved the handheld camera feel. I feel if this had been labelled a Pixar film everyone would be raving how great it is.

3. (tie) Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End - The audio and video on this are outstanding. You can really crank the audio on this one and it doesn't get fatigueing.

I have other films such as Black Hawk Down, The Departed, and Cast Away that I think are better films than most of the above, but the Blu-ray presentations of the top 3 I listed are spectacular examples of how good the Blu-ray format can be.

1. Casino Royale -- The BEST James Bond film in years!

2. Live Free or Die Hard -- Dynamite sound and PQ! (Need I say more?)

3. (tie) Blade Runner -- One of the 10 best sci-fi films ever and is equally deserving of the 5-disc Blu-ray treatment, with a superb transfer to add!

3. (tie) Ratatouille -- Because it looks and sounds better than my old DVD version of the film! I'm so glad I upgraded to the Blu-ray version of the movie!

Top 3 bds are in order
1. Casino Royale
2. Pirates (all 3)
3. Fantastic Four Silver Surfer

Casino Royal had the locales and of course the bd product placement. Can't choose between the Pirate movies and Fantastic Four Silver Surfer was a wow. I've got alot of those wow bd's so choosing top 3 no easy task. Have alot of 4.5 star transfers. I could just as easily added Cars to the list, its flawless.

I totally agree, I bought this because I thought it would be fun for my 2 year old and found myself really enjoying it.
