More developers are doing this so that they are sure the PS3 version is as good as the 360 version. Not to make the PS3 version better (although they should)

ahaha the Halo3 guys are feeling bad i guess.. i never understood why these online games didnt allow 60 64 player online games.. especially with the ps3 considering it seems more powerful then one of my computers that could multiplay with that many people
anyhow cant wait for resistance 2 ![]() |

I'm sorry but HALO is a very ordinary game. There's nothing revolutionary about it, either with story telling, gameplay wise, and certainly not graphically. Resistance, Unreal Tournament 3, and COD4 offer better online experiences as is. Hopefully, more developers will follow LucasArts, Criterion, Infinity Ward and others by making the PS3 the lead development platform. Any smart developer will be using the PS3 as their lead platform at this point. Not even so much because the PS3 is 'better' persay, but it is actually much easier to create ports for other systems 'from' a PS3 than 'to' a PS3. MUCH easier.
What I would really like to see is developers maximizing titles for PS3 then simply downgrading them or removing content for platforms that can't handle it. For example, give Xbox360 MGS4... I dont' care. Just only give them one DVD worth of it. The first two areas maybe as that is all that would fit (if that considering the core assets that game has is already over a DVD not even considering it's relative assets). Games should be made for 50gb discs (as the new PS3 exclusives are) and when they don't fit on other platforms media, then other platforms lose content. Period. Build for the system! Can't help myself on the other comments in the article: Halo, the original, ruled. Awesome game. Halo 2, the engine went to crap (actually gave people motion sickness!), and the story softened and 'old favorites' were over emphasized without adequate 'newness'. Halo 3 just plain completely and utterly SUCKED. One of the _worst_ FPS titles I've seen in years. Completely lame story that was only three freakin' hours of gameplay. Way too short. Less than 720p graphics that looked original xbox practically. Multiplayer was a snore. Complete waste of money and time. A franchise killer I would say. Resistance _should_ destroy Halo. Halo deserves it. |

Finally! Warner gets it(with BDs). Lucasarts gets it. Who's next? EA, I'm looking at you!
On a side note, I'm excited about Lego Indiana Jones for PS3, does anyone have a link for a trailer, if it exists yet? I'd love to see what the gameplay looks like! Amazon has few details, but I enjoyed Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy |
