Spiderwick...Why Paramount?.. - Blu-ray Forum

I just read at the Digital Bits that Spiderwick Chronicles is coming out on dvd in a single and 2-disc SE version in June. My question is why not announce it on blu? It not like they don't have enough time to make it.

I'm pretty disappointed they haven't announced any titles yet. I didn't expect another week would go by without some title announcements. Paramount and Universal are killing me.

dang i went to see this in imax last night and the sound was great i wanted it on blu to demo my sound system

I'm pretty sure their HD-DVD exclusivity deals are killing them, so I guess it's fair.

Not being able to release these big titles day and date has gotta be hurting them.

That being said, I really do want some announcements, but we've already been waiting a long time for some paramount and uni blus, so what's a few more weeks/months? Gives me time (and money) to buy all the great Blus that are coming out in March/April/May
