Default trouble connecting psp to intenet

i am writing this message on my computer that is connected through my wireless network in my apt, but i cannot connect my psp to that same server. Everytime i try it says connection timed out and will not connect. My network is an unsecured network, please help

did you set up your wireless connection on your psp menu? and make sure your lan switch on the psp is turned on?

ya i did all that but it still doesnt work. It was working at one point last night at my girlfriends place but then it stopped working all of a sudden, no clue why

hmm, I a'm really not sure. My son and I usually both have psp's and we usually can't connect at the same time. Maybe you don't have enough internet bandwith

check the Wi-fi switch make sure that it is on and is blinking green i believe. secondly, Firmware update. make sure you have the latest firmware update. third your wireless router, unplug it for 10 to 15 seconds, and plug it back in.

hopefully this would get your psp to work.

this is reallly fustrating, everytime i test the connection it will attempt to obtain the ip address but then it says a connection error has occured, the attempt to obtain the ip address timed out
