Question trouble connecting my psp to wifi

i use ONLY G wireless in my house
the psp picks up my signnal. i input my WEP security code (26 digits) and proceed.
the connection times out before it connects
i tried inoutting my dns, ip etc manually and still to NO AAIL

if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

yes my wifi is on as i am posting from my laptop and the psp wifi is ON too

got it....it only works on wireless B so i changed my signal to 'mixed' (b&g)

That's great, I'm glad I could help. Can you supply your router's model for future reference, in case any one else has this problem? My U-verse gateway does the same thing at 54, but I haven't tried scaling it down to 11 or doing mixed, I might try that.

the problem was i had my router set to wireless G ONLY
psp is wireless B
so i changed my signal from G ONLY to MIXED

my router is a linksys wrt54g

Yeah, a b only device needs a b signal, and if all you send is g then no joy.
